I have the bx24 with the really bad seat (K2571-5611-0). I'm looking for the part number of the new seat mentioned in PIB-2007-027, or any other replacement seat that would be recommended? Thanks,

Help needed! I have a BX-22 with about 500 hours and have had all the service done as suggested by Kubota at the dealership. Expensive! I have had a problem of hydraulic hoses failing and have had to replace 5 or 6 of them in the last year. The last hose that failed was on the backhoe and I didn't see it right away and lost lots of fluid. I replaced the hose and fluid, and now have a situation where the loader and backhoe barely move. I have changed the fluid, the filter and the screen, with no improvement. Do you think my hydraulic pump is damaged? The tractor runs great and the transmission runs as good as ever. Only the implements are slow moving. I also have sporatic power steering drop outs, but not all the time. Could it me the priority valve? I need suggestions. I have ordered a pressure test kit, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Anyone using a disc harrow with their BX tractor? I had a 4 footer made and it works good when the gangs are adjusted to their setting that cuts least aggressively. However if I set the gangs on the disc to cut the most aggressively, the tractor seems to be laboring and it makes a more pronounced whining in the transmission, but still cuts nicely. Is this too much for my BX2230, or is it safe to do light disc harrowing for my wildlife food plots and garden. I comprimised and set it for a medium cut, but don't want to damage a transmission or anything.

First of all......Howdy all! New to the board, hailing from north of Dayton, Ohio.
I pull a 50" disc harrow with my BX2200 in yellow clay/loam soil. On the most agressive angle, it definitely pulls harder, but not hard enough to hurt the tractor. If anything, my tractor will spin all 4 tires before it will hurt the hydro pump and/or drive system. I don't have calcium chloride in my tires either.

Not being terribly gifted in the DIY department, I opted to purchase a tool carrier from Kolpin Powersports (their UTV / ATV Basket, http://www.kolpinpowersports.com/products/atv-utv-racks/utv-racks/utv-atv-basket.html?vmcchk=1, $50) and mounted it on the ROPS of my BX2360 with 4 u-bolts. The basket is only rated for 35 lbs, but I only intend to use it to store my loppers, cutting shears, machete, hand limb saw, etc.
I wish there was a less intrusive place to mount a tool carrier, but this will have to do for now.

Here is another toolbox option. I also lamented the lack of a handy toolbox on my BX2660 and was very interested to see the options posted on this forum. Good ideas can lead to other ideas, and while this one may not suit all BX tractors (eg would not suit those with a rear mounted excavator), it should be ideal for any with a 3PL. I also decided that behind the seat was the best location. Here it does not impede the operator, tractor or implement operation (except the seat cannot be fully reclined, and I never do that anyway) is safe, is in the most convenient position, and the lid fully opens and stays open. Fitting implements and adjusting the 3PL is when you need a handy toolbox for spanners etc at the rear of the tractor.
I also decide the small red toolbox that suits the TEA20 and other MF tractors was the ideal size. I have a TEA20 so I know these toolboxes well. I mounted the toolbox to a steel bar bracket bent to shape and bolted to the chassis under the seat using existing holes, and also the side of the toolbox is bolted or riveted to the lights bracket on the ROPS, by drilling one small hole through the toolbox and the BX's bracket.. I have some photos and will try to work out how to attach them. The bar bracket was made from a length of 50mm x 4mm flat-bar, with a couple of angles bent into it. (25x 4-6mm would also be suitable)

I don't have a bx but I will we buying one in a few weeks. This is entirely too much tractor for my needs. I will be mowing a half acre lot. It will be more a toy than anything. I don't need (or want) the 54" or 60" deck. Will the 48" deck fit on anything other than the 1860? I want the larger engine because I will later be buying some land and building a house. I think it will come in handy when that happens.

I just bought a BX2360 with fel and box/scraper (it will be delivered sometime this week). I have done some research and I can't find the overall measurements with the attachments. I did find the overall measurement of the tractor itself but that was it. Does anyone have this information available or know where I can find it. I am needing this information to make sure I do not have to modify my barn before delivery.
Thanks for your help

today I lowered my 3pt. hitch which had my log splitter attached. Lowered it to lowest point possible approx. 6 inches from ground. Was then unable to raise hitch at all. Position and draft levers move back and forth with no movement whatsoever from the 3pt. hitch. Hitch continues to maintain approx. 6 inches from ground. hydralic fluid level is ok.. Seems like hitch has become detached from housing(?) tractor is: 1987 kubota L4150

When i built the same tester gauge set to check my hydraulic pressure, it was only 1700PSI, added (1) shim = to .014" increased pressure to 1845PSI. this was checked at operating temperatures. Reason for testing was that I felt the FEL was not as strong as when first brought home.. Pressure was low than spec. after operating for 100 hrs.

I test drove new BX1860 and 2360's the other day and noticed a lot of hydraulic-type noise occurring when the machine was moving either forward or reverse, which seemed to be amplified by the roll bar. The dealer said the fluid levels were normal and he did not think there were any unusual noises. Is this common on the BX? I drove a similar tractor from another manufacturer last week and there was no similar noise. Maybe I just need better earplugs if I buy a BX. Comments?

I just did my 50 hour maintenance on my BX24. Has anyone else had issue with the published capacity of the transmission? I spilled a bit of UDT trying to fill the puppy.
I have skid plates on (LOVE them), and was able to remove/replace the oil and transmission filters without removing them. I used a wrench to loosen them. You need to take off the right-rear wheel to get to the transmission filter.

My kubota dealer said to be carefull when using other hydraulic fluids when servicing the bx line they call for a full synthetic oil due to the high rpms and heat it will endure. using the regular hydraulic fluid will cause an overheating problem in the tranny. The kubota synthetic fluid was not cheap but you allready spent $16000 on the machine so I figure whats another $100. And they said to check the fluids in the ground level posistion on the loader and with the boom pinned on the rear. I hope this can help.
