Getting Stuck / Unstuck

Actually no need to give tips on getting stuck - there are plenty of ways to do that. But for getting UNstuck try these:
  1. Use 4 wheel drive.
  2. Use 4 wheel drive and use the rear wheel lock.
  3. Use the Front End Loader to push back.
    • Dump the bucket so that it is vertical, pointing at the ground.
    • Lower the bucket to the ground, and slightly more so that it engages the ground and can grip it.
    • Curl the bucket, while reversing. The curl action will push the tractor backwards.

Reverse Pedal Position

Some BX models have the forward and reverse pedals widely spaced. If you find this inconvenient, you can try lifting the forward pedal instead of depressing the reverse pedal.

Sudden Stop in Reverse

(Applies to BX24 and others.) When in reverse, the tractor stops with a sudden jolt when you lift your foot off the pedal. This is normal, though undesirable. Various owners have complained about it on the TBN forums. Currently there is no cure offered by Kubota.

One suggested improvement (BX2350 and maybe others) is to locate the large spring under the right-hand side of the tractor, with an adjustment on it. If you back off on the adjustment, it should put less pressure on the linkage to return to neutral.
