You've got your new BX home and after playing with it for awhile you start to hear all these new sounds and wonder if theres something wrong. Theres that buzzing sound when you turn the key switch on and then theres that clicking sound that occurs about 10 - 20 sec's after you turn it off.
Well, rest assured, those are just some of the normal sounds the Kubota diesel engine in your BX makes during operation.
The buzzing sound you hear every time you turn the key on is your electric fuel pump operating. It's located under the floor pan just about directly under where you sit. The time to be concerned is when you don't hear it when you turn the key on.
That click you hear about 10 - 20 sec's after you shut the engine off ( turn the key switch off) is the electrical engine stop solenoid resetting. It operates off of a timer that is also installed on your BX.
That clicking sound you hear when you turn the key switch to the Glow plug position is normal too.
These well made diesel engines just about talk to you when they're running and some of the sounds they make are quite normal :D

I contacted a dealer he told me at first to contact kubota direct, I did and they told me to go back to the dealer with their letter, they were nice to me and they changed the floor board, and put a new seat switch, and new ign switch in it, and it now runs perfect. used it recently with a 11 inch snow fall, in Rhode Island love it thanks all Ray Trinque
