Bucket Hooks / Chain HooksThis is a featured page

Many owners have heavy duty hooks welded to the top edge of the bucket. Typically one in the center and two more towards the ends. Some people recommend placing the outside hooks in line with the loader arms rather than at the end of the bucket. The idea being that when lifting or pulling a heavy load from a single hook you there would be less of a twisting force on the loader arms the hooks. If the hooks are used only to attach a load to the bucket, placement at the bucket ends should be OK. Whatever the hook positions, when lifting heavy weights, balance the forces across both arms as much as possible, for tractor stability and to avoid damage.

Here are some weldless hooks on a BX23. The hooks and #5 nut & bolt(s) are from TSC. The center hook is secured to the bucket via a chain clamp.
